Introduction
Siddha Medicine
SIDDHA and AYURVEDA are two main stream systems of medicines are
being practised in India from many centuries by the traditional medical
practitioners. Siddha Medicine is practised mainly in southern peninsula
and Sri Lanka where as Ayurveda is practised by vaidyas all over India
as well as some of south Asian countries including Sri Lanka, Nepal etc.
Both Indian origin medical systems are basically depended upon Tri
doshas (trio bodily Patho-physiological humours), Panchabhutas (five
elements), treatments through medicinal plants, minerals, animal origin
products etc.
